The place i lived in was called the Blue Bayou. It’s just behind station 1, in Bolabog St. It is 4 minutes away from d*mall by tricycle, a minute away on foot to Bolabog beach (kite surfing beach).
I spent a lot of time hanging out with A just doing nothing, just doing typical retiree stuff, here’s a sample day itinerary:
9:00 AM Massage
9:30 AM Breakfast & Coffee
10:00 NN Swimming in the beach
12:30 PM Market and cook for lunch
1:30 PM Lunch
2:00 PM Visit friend’s new “Sandwitches” shop at Station 3
3:00 PM Meeting with Real Estate Agent, Gigi
looked at some properties for a resort he might open
4:35 PM Start drinking
5:00 PM Picnic BBQ
6:00 PM Eat and drink while watching sunset
7:00 PM Dinner
9:00 PM ~ Dancing at Juice Bar
Living in Boracay is not at all like visiting Boracay. This stretch of long beach has very few people and you will get to know all of the locals in just a few weeks. This itinerary shown above is a jam packed day for us, one of those days when I felt like a social butterfly. In my 5 solid days living as a local, I must have met around 20 locals.
This trip made me think about my own retirement, do I want to be retired in the beach? Do I want to own a resort and meet new people everyday? Do I want to go for a swim whenever I want to? And the answer is: HELL YEAH!
